The AELP Program at NKU provides international students
a small, welcoming environment to improve their English
language skills. Our intensive and semi-intensive programs
prepare students who wish to study at NKU or other
institutions, or who wish to simply build the skills and
confidence necessary to thrive in an English language
environment. Our classes are taught on NKU’s main campus.

brand new state-of-the-art recreation center, 16 dining

Interested in living on-campus? Our residence halls have
been recognized as some of the most affordable in the
region, and offer the option of traditional double rooms,
single rooms, and suites. In addition, our 11 Living
Learning Communities can connect you with new friends
who share your same interests.
Completed in 2015, there is something for everyone at
our brand-new Student Recreation Center. Get a quick

HOW TO APPLY • Complete the online international application here • Pay the $40 Application Fee • Send any secondary school records • Submit one standardized test score - TOEFL: 61 IBT or higher - IELTS: 5.5 Band or higher with a minimum of a
5 in reading and a 5 in writing
CONDITIONAL ADMISSION International students who meet NKU’s academic
requirements but do not fulfill NKU’s English proficiency
requirements may be offered conditional admission.
Conditionally admitted students are enrolled into the
AELP program to complete English language requirements
before matriculating to the university.
